Consignor Checklist
Selling your assets with ISA is intended to be a streamlined and easy process. Of course, our goal is to obtain the best possible value for your assets while avoiding potential setbacks to the auction process. In order to ensure a positive experience we have prepared the following guidance. Don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our sales team with any questions! We are an email, text or phone call away.
1. Complete your consignment contract.
All consignments require a contract. Should you desire to add additional items to an existing consignment contract, be sure to stop by our office or complete another online consignment contract. We will not be able to add items to any of our sale events without an underlying contract.
2. Clearly state what you’re are selling.
While our yard personnel are highly knowledgeable and capable, please provide clear and specific descriptions of all items on your consignment contract to ensure the most accurate listing possible. Have any service records or manuals? It’s a good idea to provide them!
3. Make sure items are clean & presentable.
Ensure items have been given a thorough cleaning–inside and out! While dirty equipment indicates that it has run well at some point, clean items will fetch higher bids!
4. Deliver all titles to the ISA office.
ISA cannot sell any titled items (vehicles and trailers)without a clean title on file in our office.
5. Clearly indicate lien holder information.
Planning to sell an item with a lien? No problem. Please be sure to provide lien information on your seller contract and obtain payoff instructions from your lender.
6. Ensure batteries are sufficiently charged.
Equipment and vehicles should arrive with good batteries. Starting vehicles during inspection hours or on sale day can make a huge difference in value as it allows buyers to bid with confidence.
7. Bring items with at least ¼ tank of fuel.
Bring with at least ¼ tank of fuel, allowing for proper demonstration and positioning of each item into the final sale order.
8. Bring items as early as possible.
Bring items early for the best possible advertising--allowing our yard staff to obtain high quality images or videos for print and digital advertisements. Early marketing will allow potential buyers to identify their bidding opportunity well in advance.
Questions? Reach out to a member of our sales team and will will be happy to assist you.

Free evaluation...hassle-free with no obligation!
Having difficulty figuring out the true value of your Heavy Equipment, Trucks, or other items? Before you trade or sell, consider getting a certified appraisal.
It can be quite challenging to figure out the value of equipment, given the large amount of variables affecting that outcome. Using websites that “calculate” values aren’t always accurate because they cannot always account for supply and demand at the current moment, and doing your own research can be overwhelming and time consuming.
ISA has CAGA Certified appraisers that provide values for a variety of appraisal situations! At no cost to you, you can work with ISA to establish a value for your equipment before you go shopping, giving you the bargaining power you need to get a great deal!
ISA’s Certified Appraisers can provide you with three different values to consider when trading or selling:
Fair Market Retail Value
~The amount your machine or vehicle would be listed for if sold at retail by a dealer.
Auction Value Estimate
~A value range that your machine will bring at an auction event.
Trade Value
~The amount that is a fair trade offer for your machine or vehicle.

Appraisals
Appraisals are an essential part of what we do.
We specialize in industrial and commercial personal property appraisals. There are several different reasons for getting an appraisal. Each of these will assign a value to your assets based on either replacement cost, fair market value or other valuations if requested.
Types of Appraisals
Loan Collateral
This appraisal will assign a fair market value to your personal property. This gives your bank the needed information for using your personal property to secure the loan.
Equitable Distribution Appraisal
This type of appraisal is often needed when dividing assets between parties. A fair market value is assigned to the assets.
Insurance Appraisals
An insurance appraisal will give you a replacement value for your personal property in the case of an insurance claim. These appraisals should be updated every 3-5 years depending on the types of personal property.

How We Sell
ISA sells live onsite & online at auction, with the option of setting a “Buy-It-Now” price. Bidding is open on items as soon as they arrive at our yard, and if you choose to set a “Buy-It-Now” price it could sell well before the auction.
The live onsite auction with online bidding gives you the advantage to not only capture bidding from around the globe but also demonstrate your equipment working on & before the auction day. When buying heavy equipment, most buyers want to hear it run and see it operate to ensure it will work for the job they have planned for that machine.
Many buyers can’t or don’t want to wait for the auction to buy equipment that they need. They may need the machine immediately for a job and are willing to pay a higher price sooner, rather than waiting for auction day. This means you can move your assets quicker, getting the money you needed without having to wait for the auction. Four weeks prior to auction “Buy-It-Now” is removed and items are sold to the highest bidder.
Sell from your site
In compliment to selling on-site at our location, we also can sell at your location. If you have a large volume of equipment, vehicles or other items to be sold we can accommodate your needs. Our off-site auctions host the same level of expertise and service that you will see at our large main events. We can handle all aspects of the sale including photographing and catalog listing, handling payment and buyer pick-up, we do much more than just the marketing. Since most business liquidation, bankruptcy, or government auction situations need a unique approach, we work one-on-one with every client to create an approach that will work best for you. If a specialized approach at your location is what you will need, contact us and we will help you create a solution that can’t be beat.
ISA's premier auction location
Just the location of our yard provides more exposure for your items than what most auction companies provide with traditional marketing. ISA is conveniently located right along Hwy. 51 across from the 51 Truck Stop at exit 205 with full highway exposure. Hwy. 51 is a main national route into Canada giving your items great exposure to potential buyers from all over the nation. According to Wisconsin DOT data, on the average, more than 19,000 vehicles drive past our location daily with over 2000 of them taking the exit. This means that if your item is here 30 days before the sale, well over a half million people could see it just by driving by. This beats the exposure that most companies provide with a full marketing budget. Our location is easily accessible for all vehicles, no matter how many axles it has, making handling shipments in & out quick and painless. Across the highway is the 51 Truck Stop, a full service truck stop with full accommodations including diesel pumps, restaurant, showers and tractor-trailer parking.
How & Where We Market
One of ISA’s most valuable marketing assets is it’s hard working staff. Our crew has the ability to start, run & operate just about any piece of machinery. This gives us the advantage to present your equipment to buyers when they arrive as well as make operational videos. This gives great confidence to buyers who choose to bid online. When it comes to heavy equipment, we talk the talk and walk the walk!
ISA presents your equipment on several platforms for bidding! Alongside live onsite bidding your equipment is presented on catalogs on Equipmentfacts, Proxibid & Hibid. The online-only portion of the sale is conducted through our Hibid portal page. All three are large players in our industry and typically present items to hundreds of thousands of buyers all over the world.
With every event, we deploy a fairly aggressive marketing & sales strategy. Events are promoted through traditional methods like Radio, Newspaper and Postcard Mailings. Outside of the traditional marketing we also deploy advanced online & social media marketing campaigns. This drives bidders to the event through sources like Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Craigslist and several other sites. We also make several direct calls to our list of industry buyers to inform them of items they may need.
Help Us Help You Get The Best Price For Your Items
Things you can do to make sure your equipment sells for maximum value:
- Bring Equipment Clean, Inside and Out!
- Bring Equipment With Good Batteries, It will do best if it starts quick! Buyers begin to wonder what other problems equipment might have if we have to jump it to start it.
- Bring with at least ¼ tank of fuel, We need fuel to demonstrate the equipment and position it in the final sale order.
- Titled vehicles MUST be accompanied by a title or they will not be put in the sale!
- Bring Items early to ensure that we can secure the best bidders that will pay the most for your items.

Services
About Integrity Sales & Auction
Since our founding, we have grown to become the largest heavy equipment-focused auction company in Wisconsin. We did this by working hard for both the buyer and the seller to ensure that we present all items thoroughly and transparently. We believe in earning customers' trust, and that trust is built on integrity. We also commit to treating everyone with fairness and honesty.
We strive as a company for constant improvement, fast and friendly customer service and staying at the forefront of our evolving industry. While many companies in the auction industry are transitioning to online-only auctions to reduce their costs, we are continually expanding to give customers the option to buy and sell however they choose. Our goal is to create an “all-in-one” auction experience of both live and online segments of the sale that everyone can utilize.
ISA sells live onsite & online at auction. Most sales consist of two separate events, one with bidding live onsite & online, and the other online only. The live onsite auction with online bidding is the main focus of our sales. It is usually the first or first two days of our auction events and consists of heavy equipment including construction, trucking, farm, forestry, and other heavy equipment. The online-only portion of our events occur the week after the live event and is reserved for smaller items like light trucks & autos, implements & attachments, and other industry related items.
From our Central Wisconsin location, conveniently located along Hwy 51, we are able to service sellers from anywhere in the Midwest. Most of our sellers come from Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa and Indiana, but we are able to accommodate sellers nationally. With our highly advanced advertising strategy and utilization of several bidding platforms we service buyers worldwide. We have bi-lingual employees on staff to accommodate language barriers, making it easy for international bidders to arrange payment and pick-up of their items. No matter your location, contact us for any of your auction needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will I get paid for items I sell at auction?
ISA collects all payments and settles the auction in the two weeks following the auction, checks and settlement report are guaranteed to be mailed within 30 days, but are usually mailed within 14 days of the final auction day.
How do I sell an item at auction?
Consigning at ISA’s auctions is as easy as just dropping your items off. Contracting can be done on-site or online and then we take it from there. Once items arrive, we photograph, describe and take care of everything that needs to be done to sell your item.
How do I know that my items won’t get mixed up with other consignor’s items or forgotten?
ISA practices strict inventory control and loss prevention procedures. When you contract, you are assigned a consignor code in our inventory control system. That consignor code is physically applied to the items you bring during the receiving process. Once completely inventoried, all items are audited to make sure that you get paid for all items you have brought to the sale.
Does ISA assist with unloading my items?
ISA has a full staff on-site, loading dock and a variety of machines to unload items that arrive for the sale.
Where are you located?
ISA is conveniently located just off of Hwy 51 about 10 miles north of Wausau. Take exit 205, head west on Cty. Q and then south on Tree Lane. Right across the highway from The 51 Truck Stop.
When can I start dropping items off for the auction?
We begin intake for an auction as soon as pick-up for the prior auction ends. Items can be brought anytime during our normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8AM-3PM. If you need to make other arrangements, let us know, we will be happy to work with you.
Is there a deadline for Dropping off items for the sale?
To insure that you receive proper advertising and exposure to maximize the bid on your items, you should have all of the items you would like to sell delivered at least 21 days prior to the auction. This allows us to process items and market them to potential buyers through all of our marketing sources. Potential buyers may need to secure financing and inspect items before deciding to buy and waiting to bring your items may make it difficult for buyers, meaning you will not receive the maximum price for your items. The absolute cut-off for consignments is 7 days before the event, anything brought in this time-frame will be rejected or sold in the next auction.
What are your rates for selling at auction?
ISA’s standard rates are 6.9% after $2,500 AND 10% for the first $2,500 or less. To maintain a higher quality of items being consigned to the online only portion of the sale, there will be a minimum commission of $25 per lot.
How do I arrange shipment of items to ISA?
ISA will assist with transportation of your items to our location, if you do not have your own transportation. Costs will vary depending on the size of the load, and distance and permitting required.
Am I liable or responsible for something I sell after the auction?
All items are sold As-Is, Where-Is with no warranties implied and it is the buyers responsibility to inspect all items before purchasing. This releases you of all liability or responsibility of the item, once it is sold. ISA practices buyer/seller confidentiality and will never share or advertise your information to buyers unless you give approval to do so.
